Some scrappy tasting notes from 2017.
12 ounce can into a pint glass. Has a beautiful light gold color with some haze. It's taste is fairly citrusy. Pretty hoppy. Surprised it's a pale ale and not an IPA. It is excellent and delicate. One of the best citrusy tasting pale ales I've had and I'd purchase it again as long as it's fresh.

It got off to a good start with a creamy head after a strong pour, and charming lacing after a strong sip. Nothing much to say about the nose. Grapefruit forward, but the finish is too hoppy for my taste. The whole concept of Abita was great in the 1990s, but they have come and gone.

Hop On is a fruity and fairly mild (with respect to bitterness) APA. Good with spicy food.
Look: hazy yellow with an inch thick white head
Aroma: citrus, pine
Taste: Sweet tangerine and orange, grapefruit, mild pine resin at end.
Body/Overall: light to medium body, fairly good.

CAN: 12 fl oz pull-tab. Green label. Best before: 11/21/19.
"Juicy pale." 6.0% ABV. Hopped with Cascade, Citra, and Ekuanot.
TASTE: Muted citrus. Pale malt. Some faint floral hop flavour. Very restrained, lacking any hop pungency or depth of flavour. Hop profile is lacklustre and fails to showcase the hop varietals used well.
TEXTURE: Smooth, wet, silky, coating, medium-bodied, overcarbonated, somewhat refreshing.
OVERALL: Drinkable mediocrity. What else did I expect from Abita?

It poured a hazy yellow with a good white head that reseades quickly but leaves a nice lacing to the glass. The smell is floral and sweet, the taste is much the same a very sweet taste but a nice hoppy flavor. Overall it is a nice and enjoyable drink.

I am rating as APA as described, not as an IPA. I like cloudy beers, and this one is pretty thick, unusual for the style (more like a NE IPA). Poured with a large head, but dispersed quickly. Nice lacing. Smell is sweet and floral. Taste has sweet tea notes. My friend Brian O said, “tastes kinda fruity”. Feel is creamy and smooth. It is is a nice, refreshing beer.
