Our Rye beer is made with rye, pale and victory malts. To create a bold flavor, we use more rye than in most rye beers. The ratio is 40% rye, 40% pale and 20% victory malts. The victory malt gives the beer the pleasing aroma of freshly baked bread and is a perfect compliment to the rye malt. The beer is hopped with American hop varieties without a trace of bitterness, allowing the full rye flavor to come through. The result is a light brown, full flavored, malty beer.

Pours out a nice orange amber with a small bit of red. Slightly tan head rises, but drops into a think layer of bubbles. Nice lacing.
Smell. Has a nice touch of hops that is a bit earthy. Under that has sweet malts, bit of caramel.
Taste. Interesting combination of hops and malts. The rye is very present here giving it's distinct flavor. Good taste of roasted malts that are just slightly caramel-like. Hops give it a nice bitter kick. Finishes dry.
Mouthfeel. Bodt is medium. Not a bad mouthfeel, goes good with this beer, but i would have liked to have seen it with a fuller body. Good amount of carbonation that keeps it nice and lively. good balance. *But as the beer warms up, carbonation goes down and the body seems to get fuller and creamier.
Overall. A very enjoyable beer. A bit similar to their amber, but with a nice twist. Definately a maltier beer, but has just enough hops to please me with the bitterness.
I will certainly enjoy this one while i can.
