Clear gold color with good cap and lacing.

Aroma of, yes, honeysuckle, which is a common wild scent in the Deep South. If someone had asked me if a beer could smell like honeysuckle I would've laughed but this one does.

Taste is more bready grain with a slightly wild tang. It's rather pleasant actually, if you like that sort of thing and I do. There is also a slightly tart edge that adds another dimension. The usual Belgian touches of clove and banana as well but everything works together.

Medium texture with balancing carbonation.

I generally view Abita beers as competent rather than exceptional but then there's a lot to be said for competence.

The thing I love and hate about Abita, is that it taste like Abita.

I have tried several, a dozen different types of Abita and they all taste the same. At least, I mean they taste very similar. Abita has a strong flavor, and it always seems to overpower whatever seasonal flavor they roll out. It's a shame, because I like the brand and it is a good beer. You get a hint on the back end of what they were going for, like a LaCroix or White Claw.

I won't buy again, but I will gladly finish the pack I bought.

12 ounce bottle - Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Appearance: Pours a light hazed, light golden body with an initially frothy, whitish head.

Smell: A bit banal with a standard one-two clove-banana pop overlaying grainy wheat.

Taste: Lightly sweetish, lightly tangy, the same smooth, creamy wheat with crunchy grains follows in flavor with scant floral, citrus. Green banana and soft clove spiciness. Minimally bitter. A little (though still very much wanting) push of suds with a bit of orange blossom on the finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Lightly carbonated.

Overall: If Abita made a saison. See?! SEE? I don't even have to describe it for you to know just what it tastes like.

Honeysuckle has a medium, fizzy, off-white head, a mostly hazy, golden appearance, and no glass lacing. The aroma is of pale malts with spices, and the flavor is similar, with low-to-moderate bittering. Mouthfeel is medium, and Honeysuckles finishes crisp and easy going.
