This IPA brewed with rye, anise, lemon, and Peychaud's Bitters is light amber in color with a mild spicy aroma and flavors of licorice, lemon, and rye. It is brewed to invoke the flavors of the famous Sazerac cocktail of New Orleans. This beer was brewed exclusively for Barcade.

On-tap at Barcade, Brooklyn, NY
A: The beer is clear yellow in color with hints of amber hues and no visible carbonation. It poured with a thin off white head that never completely faded away.
S: Moderate aromas of licorice are present in the nose along with hints of lemon.
T: The taste follows the smell but has more balanced flavors of licorice and lemon.
M: It feels just about medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very heavy with the licorice (for the style). I couldn't see myself having more than one of these in a single sitting but it was an interesting change of pace.
