On tap at the Avery tap-room, served in in a snifter.
It's your basic black imperial stout color, with some light khaki foam floating around on top.
I get licorice, sweet bourbon, and a hint of coffee in the aroma.
It has great milk and dark chocolate flavors, kind of like rich chocolate cake. A smoky, leathury finish.
Full-bodied.
Nice barrel-aged nuances in this one.

Pitch black in color with craggy mocha head that faded into a craggy collar and wisps. Aroma is a ton of brown sugar and vanilla. Taste is extremely well balanced between vanilla, sweet oaky bourbon warmth, molasses and a rich roasty malt base. Rich, silty body, and low carbonation.
