a belgian sour ale with rose petals and hibiscus, and its just what i need on a hangover, medicinal and healthful feeling, really a very impressive beer, and far better than karma, although obviously an entirely different beverage. its pink in the glass, a little hazy, but obviously colored by the added ingredients. not much head. the aroma here is awesome! bright flowers of both rose and hibiscus, seemingly living rather than picked and dried, hyper fresh and distinct, but not perfumey or overly pungent. great tang from the souring culture too, seemingly a mix of bacteria, more than just lacto, there is a more citrusy sour note in here, and something not quite so clean, which really lets the flavor linger, and the flowers are just amazingly bright in here. not sure i want to make a day of it, but as a first beer after a long night, its pretty darn wonderful. prickly carbonation, just enough acid, really fresh and blooming summery floral profile, dramatic flavor, just delicious. avery is on a serious roll right now!

 

Weird smell but great taste.
