A brewery-only bottle release from November 2017, with a yield of 123 cases. An interesting beer, in that the label proclaims the involvement of brett, lacto, and pedio, and yet none of that is evident. Like, at all. Without guidance from the label, I would have considered this a barrel-aged blonde with a very aggressive sacch yeast that helped it get to 15%+ ABV. Even the tequila barreling is indiscernable, with only some generic oak and the high alcohol content suggesting that this has been aged. Otherwise, it is a pretty smooth, very yeasty and biscuity Belgian-influenced blonde that is enjoyable but unremarkable and quite sweet. Cool name, though! I'll continue to support any barrel-ageing experiment that Avery sees fit to release, even if some of them, like this one, don't hit it out of the ballpark.
