Enjoyed on tap at the brewery.
Essentially, this is the Redpoint Ale with a Belgian farmhouse yeast strain...
Pours a dark hazy red color with a good 1/2" of head.
Aroma is fruity and yeasty in the way a Belgian should be.
The flavor is malty and full bodied with lots of good fruit esters. Banana, apricot, even bubble gum (as suggested by the staff) comes through in this one.
Mouthfeel is pleasant and drinkability is fine although a pint would probably satisfy my need for this style.
Speaking of style, I thought it should labeled as a Belgian and 'Dark Ale' was the best approximation.
