Brown to amber in color with a hazy complexion. There’s the faintest suggestion of off white on top. There’s a lot of light rum and a bit of orange and coconut in the nose. I’m tasting nutmeg, coconut and plenty of rum. The mouth is very busy and very warm with alcohol.

Look: clear amber, nice off white head on the pour that almost completely dissipates.
Smell: not getting all the individual adjuncts, but def the tropical sum. Rich and bright.
Taste: like the nose, but while the nose indicates dry, the taste is def sweet up front, with a rum spice finish.

L: Pours a golden amber color with no head or lacing on the glass, as expected with the amount of alcohol in this beast.
S: Rum is very forefront on this followed by molasses, a hint of pineapple and orange but that has seemed to fade as the beer has aged.
T: Rum barrel is forefront on this beer, especially can get notes of molasses and cane sugar followed by a light tropical fruit but it has started to fade. Alcohol is well hidden for the amount it has in it.
F: Higher bubbly carbonation, large body.
O: Probably aged this one a bit too long as some of the tropical spices and fruit have faded but still a solid boozy beer.

Billed by the brewery as an “imperial blonde ale aged in rum barrels with pineapple, coconut, orange, and nutmeg. inspired by a classic tiki cocktail.”
Look: Attractive hazy orangish-copper color with white foam.
Smell: heavy rum aroma, with some hints of pineapple and orange.
Taste: strikingly sweet on first taste, the taste buds are assaulted with the distinctive alcohol sweetness of yeast eating overtime and leaving behind a 16.2% abv concoction. Rum barrel combined with fruity flavors from heavily added pineapple and orange create an almost cocktail-like experience. The nutmeg adds nuance and is sorely needed to prevent it from becoming overly cloying.
Feel: light to medium body.
Overall: awesomely creative, fun sipper. A 2.5oz pour after dinner is an excellent choice.

The usually bright, radiant and light-mooded taste of the tropics has taken a stroll over to the deep end of the pool with the guidance of Avery Brewing. Condensed in their flavor and wrapped in a sixteen percent cocoon, the tropical fruit punch takes a heavier turn.
Golden amber in its pour, Quinntiki carries the appearance and visual density of honey. Scantly headed and sitting with port-like stillness, the tropical fruit infused Belgo-American Quad fills the nose with candied tropical fruit, stone fruit and pitted fruit, each dried for a fortified scent. Alcohol spice and hints of wine tingle the nose before a malty-rich sweetness slathers the tongue with caramelized, honey-dipped malts.
As the decadent and lavish ale seeps into the middle palate, its malt contribution is cloying in dessert-like fashion. A bold overtone of candied pineapple and poundcake flavors take the beer to a pineapple upside down cake level and then soaked in rum. Complementary flavors of orange, apricot, nectarine, plum, raisin, date and fig all bounce about the tastebuds while the simmering spice of rum cake round out the latest portions of taste.
Absurdly full, malty and thick, the beer carries a great deal of unresolved wort that clings onto the mouth with sugary effects. Light molasses comes to mind while the beer finishes long, fat with malt and sweet but with that spicy simmer of rum warmth on a very long aftertaste.

Clear copper-like pour. Headless and still.
Smells like caramel and vanilla malts with nice pineapple.
Taste lines up with what hit my nose. On the sweet side as usual with this brewery’s barrel aged editions. Pineapple dessert beer. Strong, sweet, tasty.
Feels medium and creamy, a bit syrupy but carbonated well.
It’s almost a cloying ale, one to sip slowly and sparingly because the vanilla and tropical spice is tasty.
