On tap at the Avery tasting room. Unfiltered look, with one quarter inch of head. Very tasty, like a 1.5X IPA. IBU 69, grapefruit taste, sweet malt and slight sugar to balance it out. Chinook hops.Declicious hop aroma. Very good IPA. Good drinkability.

On tap at the brewery.

Pours a golden orange with a white head.

Nose is citrus, grapefruit, and pine. MMM very nice hop profile here.

Tastes is very hoppy with a grassy floral profile. Very nice work here.

Mouthfeel has a crisp hoppy carbonated feel to it.

Overall this is a very well done ipa and I would love to have it again.

appearance - golden orange with a good fluffy white head. about an inch or so when handed to me at my table.

smell - citrus and grapefruit come first, then some heavy pine. i like this. some grass/floral. my kind of hoppage.

taste - more bitter than the nose, but definitely the nose is there.

mouthfeel - bitterness is short and sweet. body is medium for the style. carbonation is great, a bit over carbonated maybe for some, but for the style, perfect id say.

On-tap at Blue Palms

A: The pour is essentially the same orange color as the IPA with a finger's worth of white foam and mild lacing.

S: The citrus aroma is fairly pungent and mostly consists of grapefruit. Plenty of pine forward hops, too, along with a more mild grassy aroma.

T: More of the same on the nose. Lots of bitter grapefruit and pine, seemingly more bitter than the regular IPA. The malt flavor is subtle and just sort of like a dry, boring bread flavor.

M: Medium in body with a fairly high level carbonation and lingering bitterness.

D: I thought this was better than the regular IPA, but maybe I was just swayed by the Dry Hopped descriptor. In any event, still not amazing, but quite good.

One more from the Quinquepartite release at Avery tonight. Poured from the tap a nice medium golden color, with a good fluffy white head. Nice juicy, resiny hop aromas (bubblegum, citrus), but not as much as expected. Pretty similar to the regular IPA taste-wise, decently hoppy with a nice bitter finish.

Served in a pint glass at the Avery tap room. Golden with a haze. Lots of carbonation. Beautiful white head that produces copious lace. Grapefruit and, to a lesser extent, caramel are present in the aroma. Bit of a carbonation bite up front. Not as sweet as one would suspect from the aroma. Very well balanced. Healthy and long bitter finish.

Note: ABV-6.5 IBU-69 (tastes much higher, though)
