On tap at Avery Tap Room. Much different from Eagle Rare Reverend. Hazy caramel color with ample white head. Smell contains strong bourbon notes and brown sugar. Much more so than Eagle. The taste does too - this is very sweet, with oak and vanilla notes as well. You can still make out the underlying Reverend properties with all of the malt and candi sugar. Fairly thick-bodied with medium carbonation. Delicious stuff. Would be nice to see Avery release something like this in their barrel-aged series. (I prefer it quite a bit over the Eagle version)
