Ellie's Brown Ale wort fermented with Brettanomyces and aged in Chardonnay barrels for 18 months.
Pours a dark hazy with a thin tan head.
Nose has cocoa, nutty malts, barnyard funk, oak and a tart white wine grapes.
Taste is a bit more mellow, but still nice. Horse blanket, musty funk, wood, tart citrus and bready malts.
Medium body is lightly carbonated. Crisp finish. Another nice sour from Avery.
