On tap at the Avery barrel room. Pours black, with a nice lasting bit of brown head. A very nice nose, with bourbon, oak, chocolate and maybe a bit of maple. Nice roasted malt flavors, along with more bourbon, oak and vanilla. A very nice effort, but not a whole lot different than the regular version.

Pours near black with a silky tan head.
Nose has big notes of bourbon, vanilla and oak along with cocoa, coffee, molasses, oaty malts and dark pitted fruits.
Taste is well balanced between the sweet oats, dark roasty malts, chocolate, espresso, whiskey, wood and vanilla.
Thick, creamy body is delicately carbonated. Very nice brew. Much better than the rum barrel version.
