10 oz pour form the brewery
App- Pours a little light for a baltic. Nice roasted head though with some lacing.
Sm- Heavy roasted malt, can't get much of anything past this.
Ta- Taste's more light a mild than a Baltic. Very little malt sweetness as you would expect. Heavy on the bittering hops.
MF- Big disappointment. Very thin. Not the big beer you hope for when you order a baltic. Carbonation level was OK though.
Dr- It's drinkable, but when compared to the style does not deliver what you expect.

Served in a 10oz pilsner at the Avery Tap Room. Clear and very dark red-brown, with some visable light coming through. Thin head and sticky lace. Coffee, roasted chicory, and chocolate aroma. Some carbonation prickliness up front, but very smooth up front, almost like a nitro. Bittersweet middle, dark chocolate like. Nice bitter finish. Medium to heavy mouthfeel. Smooth start to finish. From what I've been told by tap room employees, Ballsmack was a preproduction run for the 17th Anniversary.
