Avalanche Rescue Dogs play a vital role in search-and-rescue teams throughout the United States. Inspired by their heroic work in helping to keep us safe in the high country that we love, we set out to brew a classic American Pale Ale in partnership with the National Ski Patrol. Patrol Dog Pale Ale is brewed with pure Rocky Mountain water and American Hops for a crisp, refreshing beer. A portion of Patrol Dog Pale Ale proceeds will support avalanche rescue dog programs across the country.

12oz canned 7-29-25, opened 9-13-25.
1/2" white head with good retention and full lacing. Golden body that is mostly opaque.
Orange, caramel, and leafy pine in the aroma and flavor.
Medium body and low-medium carbonation with a little chew and a nice moderate but persistent bitterness in an off-dry finish.
Fairly classic APA across the board.
Very Good.

Clear medium gold pour, finger of cream colored head. Nose shows earthy citrus.

Taste brings medium bitter citrus, warm resin, sweet floral notes, light kilned malt, touch caramel. Mouthfeel is medium, leaning light. Finish has a subtle marmalade touch.

This was a decent pale ale, but didn't pop like a lot of their beers do. It wasn't exactly watery, but didn't really showcase the hops or the malt. We're used to Avery beers being full of flavor and this one just fell a little short. I do like that they donate to a good cause with the proceeds from this beer though.

Pours a hazed honey color with a thumb of beige head. Nice head retention & lacing

S: Bready, toffee notes, leafy hops once warm

T: A little bready, leafy hops, some citrus notes, a little green melon up front. Breadyness, more leafy hops, a little citrus, a little green melon & pear once this beer warms up. Finishes bready, a little dry with leafy hops and green melon

MF: Medium body, fairly crisp carbonation, skews a little malty/sweet

Drinks okay, but another one & done. So far this12 pack is underwhelming

It looks tasty. It smells nice. It tastes wunnerfull. It feels good. Overall, it has a pleasant 5.7 ABV and a portion of the proceeds are supposed to go to support avalanche rescue dogs nation-wide, so, woof down a few for yourself!

Checked this one out Spring '23. Been kind of leery of anything Colorado, the place, especially the Denver/Aravada corridor really went ski downhill Carver.

Anyhoo, pours a darker pale ale color. Its almost full on Chrystal brown. Pale? Brown? Ok, whatever revisionist narrative you need. 3/4" off white head, good on the retention. . The aroma smells like usual Denver suburb of Eilleen tinder trich froth shipped out from a sexwork/mining mancamp in Alaska. Brutal, get that checked (again).

The taste is aptly summarized as malty pale ale. Pale, 2 row, brown, crystal malts. She's got a new narrative in your town! Hero. Don't eat that. The malt aspect is pretty bland. Its not sweet. There is nothing crisp nor refreshing about it contrary to the commercial tug job. So where are the hops? There's some bittering hops, but that is about it from where I sit. Big money ballers on the run from their debts. Ashame what happened to this brewery, town, state etc. . . despite all the computations, you could just dance to a rock and roll station.

L: Pours a dark amber orange with a small white head and thick lacing on the glass.

S: Some piney bitterness, mixes with a bit of floral hops and a touch of sweet malt.

T: A touch of lemon, a touch of grapefruit candy, a strong floral hop medium to strong bitterness. Definitely old school pale ale.

F: Carb seems a little lower than expected. Medium body.

O: While it works this is a fairly unremarkable pale ale.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left some lacing on the glass. It smelled of toasted caramel, roasted malt and citrus and pine. Nice toasted caramel taste with a piney bitterness and citrusy kick.

8 ounce pour - $3.50 at Woodstock Beer Market in Woodstock, Georgia.

Appearance: Coppery hued with a slight haze to it. Near white, creamyish-looking head. Decent lacing.

Smell: It smells a small sniff of toasted grain with slight notes suggesting pine, fruit.

Taste: Standard-issue pale malts, slightly bready and with just a touch of grain. It never really delivers much in the way of malty sweetness, remaining fairly dry through the clean finish. Thin trails of fruitiness, pine and herb amidst a medium bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Barely squeaks into medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Overall: When you see such verbiage as "proud partner" or "proceeds" going off to help or support this, that, and the other, you should know you're, at best, in for a very safe, very basic beer. Which is fine. As was this - a fine, cleanly executed albeit bare-bones pale ale.
