Pours an effervescent gold with a thumb+ of pearl colored head. Great head retention, better lacing, stays effervescent throughout
S: Bready, grape skins. green melon
T: Lime, bready dryness, some pear notes, leafy hops up front. More green melon, dryness as this beer warms up, loads of grassyness & grapefruit. Finishes dry with grapefruit , lime & grassy notes
MF: Medium body with fairly lively carbonation, a little gritty, pretty good balance
Serviceable IPA, but one & done for me, run of the mill. This may have impressed more about 30 years ago

12oz can from Hops & Bottles. Cloudy golden pour, one finger frothy white head. Aroma offers light grainy aroma, hoppy notes. Taste is bready, citrusy, light astringency, lemon peel. Dries out near the end.

Body has a light haze along with a large white head that left good lacing. Aroma dances around the tropical fruit and citrus characteristics. Flavor has a more hop focused approach. Still heavy on the tropical fruit. Finishes on a more resinous, herbal, modestly bitter note. Lingering aftertaste. Medium bodied mouthfeel with good carbonation. Decent overall but still puzzled by the "bright" IPA description on the can.

12oz can
L: light golden body; frothy off-white head leaves chunky lacing on the glass
S: citrus, pale grain, pine
T: pale grain making it more hop forward with hop notes of grapefruit, lemon, passion fruit
F: medium body; very resinous and dry; moderate carbonation and bitterness
O: described as a “bright” IPA. I get it. This was good.

12oz, canned Feruary 15th 2023
On the pour, 2 fingers of dense, white head formed on top of a lightly hazy golden yellow body.
Aroma is dominated by bright hops. Lots of sweet juicy citrus, but also some piney resin in the back as well. Not tropical at all. Slightly boozy.
Flavor follows the aroma, but some yeast character comes through making it slightly more dirty. Less fruity/juicy, but hop flavor is still there, however more herbal/floral. There is some bitterness but it is very light for being 50 IBUs. The booze is more detectable than in the aroma.
The feel is very dry and a bit astringent. The beer is extremely easy to drink and actually a bit lighter than expected. Despite that there is a medium short finish, with more building astringency.
Overall this is an average 7% ABV relative to what's coming out these days. I wish it was a bit more crisp and refreshing, but that dirty yeast flavor detracts from that.
