Our latest collaboration is an imperial stout, aged in bourbon barrels, featuring vanilla, cacao, and coconut. Why did we create this? Because James asked.

Brewed with Rocky Mountain water, malted barley, oats, vanilla, roasted coconut, hops, and yeast.

12 oz. Bottle
Green Foil/Capped
Bottled: NOV 2022

2 years on this bottle.

Poured into a Westy chalice a very nice dark brown color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy one finger tan head, which leaves a very nice huge-size island/oil slick, and some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is very nice, malty, hoppy, very nice chocolate/toffee, very nice bourbon, oaky, cacao/coconut, vanilla, licorice. The taste is very nice malty, hoppy, very nice chocolate/toffee, awesome bourbon note, oaky, cacao, coconut, vanilla (sweetness), licorice. Full body, ABV is hidden pretty well, definitely a sipper/big beer, very complex brew . Overall, very nice/tasty. Aging pretty well. Glad to have gotten a chance.

Dark brown pour, clear, black and opaque in the glass; nice head, somewhat dense, long lasting; sticky foam remnants inside the glass. Very nice dark roasted grain smell; cocoa and wood char. Complex flavor; cocoa and dark bitter chocolate; barrel wood; moderate booziness; vanilla. Heavy mouthfeel; smooth and slippery; lots of alcohol warmth and heat; residual sugar stickiness.

Another fine big and ballsy barrel-aged beer from Avery. The toasted coconut isn't very prominent, but all the other adjuncts make a nice appearance.
