Sampled on draft at taproom. 1/2 of head that moves to nice lacing. Cola colored with good clarity. Sweet mint and roast on the nose. Drinks very smooth with just a bit of bitterness on the back.

Served on-draught into a 4 oz taster at Avery in Boulder. Reviewed from notes.
A: Pours a one finger tan colour head of soft cream, nice thickness, and good retention. Body colour is a solid black. Nontransparent. Opaque.
Sm: Roast, mint, dark malts, chocolate, and cream. The mint is heavy and appealing. A pretty strong aroma.
T: Chocolate and mint, with a heavy spearmint finish. Dark malts form the foundation. Mint is dominant. Simple but imbalanced. The mint a bit too much here, actually.
Mf: Smooth, wet, and creamy. Good carbonation. Good thickness.
Dr: Very drinkable and enjoyable. But it's too simple. A decent offering from Avery. I honestly prefer Stone's collaboration mint chocolate stout, and given my opinion of each brewery, that says a lot. Avery can do much better.
