Tropical aromas of mango, papaya and passion fruit mingle with citrus and gentle florals. Medium-bodied with a touch of sweetness balanced by a subtle, lightly lingering bitterness.

Bought locally, canned December 31st 2025.

It pours a hazy orange, small head of foam, retention is okay, lacing is not.

Smell is orange peel, citrus, earthy, not too inviting.

The taste is orange peel, dank, earthy, citrus. It's less than 3 months old and it tastes older. Did not hold up well.

Okay mouthfeel, I would not bother drinking this again. Sorry Avery.

Hazy golden color with a decent and lasting white head with some lacing. The aroma is pineapple, mango and citrus.
The taste is pineapple, mango, passion fruit, tangerine and grapefruit with a light caramel malt base, very lightly sweet, a bit tart. The finish is dry with citrus zest and light floral notes, mild bitterness.
The body is medium, moderate carbonation, crisp but smooth and very drinkable.
Altogether, this is a very tasty brew, nice tropical fruits, nice balance, should go well with most food, especially Asian, would be nice on a beach but good anytime, very well done.

I got a 6pck of cans of this beer from my local meijer store. It poured a hazy orangish with white head that is leaving a nice lace. The scent had subtle bitter citrus notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright malt base with bitter citrus presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a hazy yellow color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of oranges. Taste is oranges, some grapefruit, juicy. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is your run of the mill hazy IPA.

12oz canned 7-11-25, opened 9-17-25.
1 finger white head with great retention and ample lacing. Yellow-gold and opaque body.
Lime, mango, passion fruit in the aroma. Fruit forward.
Flavor matches the aroma - this one has grown on me from the first can to the last.
Nothing out of this world but tasty and well made.
Medium body with low-medium carbonation and a soft mouthfeel. Low bitterness, just a hit across the sides of the tongue.
Very Good.

I was once told by a professor in architecture school that it takes a lot of guts to design a boring building. And sometimes with the lack of imagination, creativity and newness, the beer industry could apply just the same. Avery gives their hand at designing a true-to-form and rudimentary hazy ale that simply does things correctly.

Highliner takes the high road with a moderate cloudy appearance stacked upon hues of goldenrod and taupe. As a frothy cap forms on the rim, the scent is standard and fragrant with tropical, citrus and stone fruit with a backdrop of peppery herb and supported cereal sweetness. It's that sweetness that makes a mark on the early palate as cereal grain, angel food cake and vanilla wafer come to mind. Not to be outdone, the hops transition to an emboldened taste of mango, passionfruit and lychee ahead of a more citrusy bite of orange, grapefruit and lime. Peppery herbs allow for a smooth but noticable bitterness of spruce tip, cedar, tea leaf and hemp to close.

Medium-light in body, the beer eventually falls flat and lackluster on the palate for a rather forgettable hazy IPA profile. Perhaps not everything in the design of buildings apply to the design of beer.

I got a totally different flavor profile than their description - for me this was very lemony, almost like a radler but in hazy form. That's odd since I didn't get any of the suggested mango at all, though maybe a touch of the papaya. In any case, it wasn't a tropical hop bomb if that's what you're looking for in a beer. It was solid, nothing special.

12oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace. It smelled of orange, grapefruit, guava and caramel. Sweet tropical fruit taste with toasted caramel and a piney bite.
