12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 10/11/2019. Pours slightly hazy deep golden/amber/light orange color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, cracker, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light honey/caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate dark/bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, cracker, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light honey/caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, cracker, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light honey/caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and sticky/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 5.2%. Overall this is a fantastic session IPA. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/clean/refreshing to drink with the moderately bitter/resinous/drying finish. Not overly aggressive, very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Fantastic Citra showcase as expected. Extremely vibrant, dank, earthy, and fairly juicy hops; with a great clean pale malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp resin dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and outstanding style example. Loved the hop profile as expected.

Very nice IPA. Aromas of pine and citrus, with orange forward and grapefruit/lemon in the back. Very nice balance of doughy/biscuit malt and more citrusy goodness. Not aggressively bitter.

L - 2.5 finger offwhite head atop a dark yellow body.
S - floral hops, herb, some citrus.
T - imagine grilling grapefruit slices over charcoal. That is how this tastes. Some dankness, a bit floral in the middle. Low bitterness. Low sweetness. No booziness.
F - medium-light body and average carb.
O - smoky grapefruit taste, but very easy to drink.

$13.31 (Including tax and deposit)/6-pack of 12 oz cans ($ 0.185/oz) from Shottle Bop, Hancock, MI. Reviewed 8/1/18.
Undated can, stored on shelf in store. Served at 42 degrees in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter.
Appearance – 4.
Body – Medium yellow, slight haze.
Head – Large (Maximum 6.8 cm, aggressive center pour), off-white, medium density, average retention, diminishing to an irregular seven to fifteen mm lacy ring, a heaped partial layer, and lots of open lacing left behind from head retraction. Second pour produces a much smaller head.
Lacing – Good. Produces tight, narrow bands of tiny to small bubbles, connected by short, thin columns of bubbles.
First pour – Light yellow, clear.
Aroma – 4 – Strong perfume of grapefruit. Lasts!
Flavor – 4 – Begins with grapefruit flavor and some bitterness. Ends with a bit of chalkiness. No alcohol, no diacetyl, no dimethylsulfide.
Palate – 3 – medium, watery, soft carbonation.
Impression and interpretation – 4 – The can bills this as “Session India Pale Ale”. I agree – I could drink this all day long! Very pleasing aroma and flavor, nice at which to look, a symmetrical six-pack price – the best brew of my whole recent trip to the U.P. The only downside is the lack of can dating.
