An unassuming IPA that has a slightly sweet, slightly perfumy flavor--not really bitter, as the can label suggests, and not really flavor-forward. The beer, however, has an agreeable subtlety once one gets used to it.

Brewers Notes: 100% centennial hops from Williamsburg Michigan. Big hop bitterness, has a little orange zest, finishes with a maltiness.
Beer gifted to me in BIF18 via @whteboar, thanks Craig!
New brewery, new beer, 12oz can poured into a pretentious beer glass
Translucent orange liquid with big bubbles capped by a yellowish craggy two finger peak of foam
Aroma is pine
Taste is pine, orange citrus, malts, hoppy
Nice hop chomp
Good beer

From a 12 oz can.
This beer has a nice amber hue, and is slightly murky. There's a decent amount of very tiny carbonation bubbles rising in the glass. The head that forms is a fairly thick, at 3 finger, and is slightly off white in color. Very fluffy and frothy looking. Decent head retention and a good deal of sticky lacing on the glass.
The nose is actually more malty than hoppy. I get a lot of buttery biscuit. I do get a bit of hops, and the hops lean toward pine smelling.
Taste - Like the nose, this is a very malty beer up front. Lots of buttery biscuit and a hint of sweetness in here. The hops do hit on the back, and it has a nice pine bitterness that does linger in my throat.
The body is fairly sticky feeling, very clingy, and darn full feeling.
This may be a bit malty, but does have a nice hop bill also. Overall delicious.

On tap at the tap room/pub, looking out over 31 and then Lk MI on a peach of a summer day. Looks great on a pint glass, copper/amber, bubbles, with a thick and creamy off-white head, very good retention and lacing. Nose is wort, bready and caramalt, and kind of muddled heavy/wet citrus-melon hops…maybe some pine, but nothing too prickly or pungent or resin on that front. Taste is a little better, but still, for me, a little heavy and wet, in terms of mouthful…it’s decent but not big in terms of bitterness or liveliness, which is where I could see this going (and sticky, too) if it really wanted to hit this profile out of the park. Supposedly, this is 100% centennial. I may be a little harsh, here, because I don’t think it’s bad, but it strikes me as pretty middle of the road.
