This is Beard’s red ale. I’m assuming the name is a reference to a comic book character? So there’s that.
Pours amber in color. Light aroma with just a hint of a caramel sweetness.
It’s malty sweet with a candied caramel flavor, a hint of bittering and a caramelized roast on it which reminds me oddly enough of strawberry jam.
