Received this as an extra in a trade a while back. Bottle was a slow gusher.
A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a very dark brown with a big fizzy three finger head that was slow to fade, no lacing. There was loads of dark brown chunky floaties throughout the head that ends up getting stuck to the glass. Yuck.
S - Aromas of light tarter cherries, leather, dark fruits, light sweet malts, balsamic vinegar, and some straight up vinegar. I get a little bit of garbage/trash aroma as well. Little bit of metallic notes as well.
T - Taste is similar to the nose. Barrel notes, oak, fair amount of vanilla, decent leather and dark fruits. Tart cherries, more of that balsamic flavour. Little bit chalky with a little cocoa powder.
M - Mouthfeel is brightly carbonated, yet slick and almost slimy.
O - Overall this was one mess of a beer. Not sure what went wrong but I'm glad I didn't share this with anyone. Right down the drain.

22 ounce bottle - $8.99 at Bullock's Wine & Spirits in Marietta, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a murky, muddied dark brown body with a smallish, though persistent beige head.
Smell: Earthy, gunked barrels, (a hint of) vanilla, deep toastiness and dry dark caramel with fruity elements evoking red wine, balsamic vinegar, and (naturally) cherries.
Taste: Heavy toast, touches of cocoa powder and caramel with only a faint, faint, faint hint of sweetness. Earthy, woody barrel tones. Tangy red wine dosed with dried, bitter herbs, vinegar and crushed cherries. Moderate lactic quality.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Lightly carbonated. A little tongue-coating quality to the overall mouthfeel.
Overall: It's alright!

22oz bottle from Sprayberry Bottle Shop (Marietta, GA). 8.99. Bottled 10/16. Served in a Barrel and Barley teku.
Pours a turbid cherrywood brown with just shy of two fingers of khaki head. The few subtle wisps of retention spread towards a full crown that leaves no lace.
Smells of cherries first and foremost with a little balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, wet oak and toast. Pretty nice really.
Flavors of cherries, leather, a balsamic-like sour, musty bread, oak, barrel funk and some musty grain. Slightly less cherry than I may want but still nice.
Medium full, almost chalky feel with restrained carbonation. Finishes with notes of balsamic glazed tart cherries and earthen barrel funk.
Roxanne is a pretty nice early stab at an almost Flanders red inspired ale from a fairly young brewery. It was enjoyable enough that I might need to try cellaring one to see how it develops.
