On tap at Gunflint Tavern - Grand Marais. Poured an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It left sudsy lace. It smelled of espresso, chocolate and caramel. Great roasted espresso taste with chocolate and a balanced bitterness.

On nitro. Tan head with lots of lace rings.
Dark chocolate brown color.
Chocolate, espresso, roast, cream, caramel. Smooth and creamy feel. Not burnt which is nice. Very easy drinking and flavorful.

Poured from a can into a tulip.
Pours nearly black and nearly opaque. The head is limited but the lacing is excellent.
Chocolate, char, and coffee all are present on the nose, along with some vanilla and caramel.
The brew has flavors that match the nose quite well. Sweet malt on the tip of the tongue and the the curtain rises on coffee, chocolate, and roasted malt/char.
The brew has excellent carbonation and finish. Very drinkable
Overall, a bit one-note, but tasty.

This beer pours quite dark. 1 1/2 finger head. Tan head.
The nose is nice and rich with a coffee aroma. Really no other favors.
Taste is very coffee forward. It's Got a bit of a mellow flavor on the backside.
The beer is more toward watery feeling, but it works well for the style.
Overall a delicious coffee beer.

On tap at the brewery the last day before they closed their original location. This is one of the biggest coffee bombs I have ever had. The aroma was perfect and the taste backed it up. On a 10 day or so vacation this was easily the best beer I had.
