Crisp Fall days have arrived and this big red IPA is the perfect pairing. Chinook, Mosaic, Eureka, and Strata hops lend a bouquet of berries, evergreen, and citrus peel. Paired with a light malty sweetness and a resinous finish, this beer conjures memories of a stroll through the Autumn forest.

Draft at Gunflint Tavern. Poured a clear, amber color with khaki-colored head of foam. It left sheets of lacing. It smelled of toffee, toasted bread, caramel and pine. Sweet caramel taste with strong roasted malt and a piney finish.

Faintly cloudy, dark amber body; dense carbonation; thick, frothy, off-white head, long lasting with a creamy texture. Low-key sweet caramel nose; fruity esters wafting in the background; stone fruits. Light flavor; pine sap; muted malt sweetness and grain flavor; moderate sense of hop bitterness. Medium-heavy body; dense residual sugars and sticky.
This is a new brewery and beer for me. The taste is okay yet rather flat and indistinct, otherwise, the other elements of the beer are quite good. I didn't pickup on any berry or citrus notes (as per the label) but did note some pine qualities. I didn't see any canning data, so perhaps age may have played a factor in the 'missing' berry and citrus notes.
ABV: 7.0%; pouring temperature: 36.1 ℉; canning info: n/a

From a 12oz can with no date on it.
This is a clear pouring beer and dark amber in color. There's a nice stream of carbonation bubbles rising in the glass. The head is 2 finger and slightly off white, frothy looking, and long lasting. There's some good lacing on the glass.
The nose has a nice aroma from the hops. I am getting some pine off it. I get a woody aroma from this beer.
Taste - This beer has a pine flavor that seems to change a bit, but maintains. I also get some woody notes off the flavor. I am getting a hint of citrus hops. The pine flavor clings in my throat.
The hops are somewhat sticky feeling. Fairly full bodied. Smooth feeling.
I am really digging this beer and it really seems to suit the season.

Can. White head with lace. Dark bronze hued gold. Makes sense as they call this a red ipa.
Earthy, piney, floral. Touch of citrus. Some bready malts. Pretty hoppy. A bit of sticky malts as well and some resin. Solid.
