This big oatmeal stout focuses on the rich and flavorful malts produced by England's best maltsters. A base layer of Maris Otter and Aromatic malts provide gentle biscuit and toast flavors while Roasted Barley, Golden Oats and Extra Dark Crystal malts create bold flavors of roasted coffee, molasses cookies, and dark chocolate.

Draft at Gunflint Tavern. Poured an opaque, pitch black color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left sudsy lace. It smelled of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and toffee. Sweet chocolate and toffee taste with coffee bitterness.

Poured stout black and was topped with a light brown head, lacing was light but present.
Aroma was faint for my damaged nose but I did get some roasted malts and a little coffee.
The taste followed, plenty of flavor packed in here, relatively simple but still well done. Rich malts are rounded with coffee and a bit of chocolate.
The feel was really good, felt just a touch of body which didn’t hurt the texture at all. Nice quaffer.
OA, glad to have been able to try this one!

This beer pours pitch black. The head is 2 finger, tan, long lasting, and there's some lacing on the glass.
Very faint nose. Hint of chocolate.
Flavor is a combination of a roasty chocolate and a faint hint of coffee. The chocolate is more dark chocolate than milk chocolate. The finish is slightly bitter.
Lighter bodied, but not watery at all.
Not bad at all.

12oz can. No dating information found.
Black colored body, with a red mahogany back lit edge. Brief burst of two finger tan head dissipates to an interrupted cap. Leaves behind strings of lacing.
Aroma has dark roasted malts, with smells of coffee, chocolate and molasses.
Taste is dark roasted malts with coffee, dark chocolate, molasses and a bit of dark fruit. Fruity citrus hops add in. Slight bitter coffee in the aftertaste, being balanced by a sweeter chocolate.
Thinner mouth feel. Clean presentation. Good carbonation.
A session dark beer that will work until one gets full of the coffee bitterness.
