Had the pleasure of enjoying this beer on tap during a recent visit to ZAP's. It has a dark body, almost opaque. Deep crimson, mahogany hues when held to a light source. The chocolate brown head leaves moderate amounts of lace. Awesome aroma of milk chocolate, roasted malt and coffee. Taste is spot on for a robust porter. Not a huge beer, nor should it be. Flavors are very distinct and nice....milk chocolate, java, roast and a little vanilla. Medium body, lightly carbonated. Quite drinkable and quite flavorful. Solid porter. Nice dry finish with slight roasted astringency. Chalky as well, which I like. Great intro into this new brewery. Can't wait to try more.

My first foray into the newest brewery to hit the northwoods. Very small operation and supplying draft to only one account for now but they seem to have a good thing going and a brewmaster who knows his stuff it seems.

A-Pours a nice deep, dark brown...creamy tan head laces the glass nicely...

S-Very nice roasty aroma....coffee...and dark chocolate.

T-A lot of dark chocolate and roasted malts...

M-Light side of medium bodied....clean.... one of the driest porters I've ever had on the finish.

O-Good, solid, dryish porter with modest weight but a nice roasty flavor and aroma with some dark chocolate notes as well...very clean...nothing off at all...nice effort here...good drinker...quality beer.
