One of the best IPA’s i’ve had. The pine is paired with the citrus in an almost perfect combination. Been drinking this off and on the last few years and i keep coming back to it as a go-to IPA. If you roll your eyes at a juice bomb IPA this needs to be on your list.

12 oz can pkgd 4/15/24 into a Becker.
L: SRM 9 Pours pure clear candy caramel color with light & steady carbonation, a 1/2" domed eggshell white head with very good retention down to thick froth, medium-heavy loose lacing with rhythmic banding.
S: A vinous hop note, caramelized malts, lightly herbal.
T: Slightly sweet malts, a gentle hop zing/twang, soft citrus fruits, pine resin, a fruit read note in the finish. It is moderately tangy.
F: Slightly juicy, soft medium-bodied mouthfeel with a med-full middle and a med-long fairly drying finish and linger.
O: A clean-drinking and slightly tangy brew. It is wet and semi-juicy feeling and has a soft body with a drying finish. It has a lovely presentation, is well balanced, and tastes nice. It is very good in its style.

Can. White head. Lace. Cloudy golden orange color.
This tastes more like a hazy than a regular ipa. Cantaloupe, melon, honeydew. Orange and mango. Pine and floral hops. Very enjoyable.

Bought a sixer of these while up at Itasca State Park...and enjoyed them over the next week or two, with slightly different takes on different nights...here's the sum, though, based on the last 12 oz can, a month old, poured into my Fin du Monde tulip, clear goldish amber with a 2 finger head and good retention/lacing. Nose is citrus (grapefruit pith, lemon) without being juicy, resiny sticky pine, light sugary and bready malt. Taste follows the nose, maybe a bit more complexity but a little muddled, too. Walks the line on being a little too malty sweet, but doesn't cross it...feel is nice and biting, moderate but much appreciated bitterness; moderately full mouthful, with a nice dry finish.

Pours a very clear golden color. The head is white, frothy, 1 1/2 finger. Head retention is decent.
The nose is nice and pine smelling from the hops.
The taste is citrusy, piney. There's also a sligh sweetness on the backside.
Smooth feeling, and moderate body.
Not a bad American IPA. This beer represents the style well.

Slightly hazed deep golden. Nice spotty lace. Bright aroma....lemon oil, grapefruit, orange peel. On the palate, I get more malt than expected. Caramel malt gives a good backbone...a little too much presence for an IPA. The flavor is not as bright as the nose led on to. I get some citric hop notes, but too much caramel malt to go with it. Bitterness is subdued and even keeled. Medium full body. Good tasting beer but would like more hop and less malt for IPA.

Poured a clear, golden orange color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of citrus, grapefruit and pineapple. Sweet caramel backbone with a tropical fruit bite.

Two years later from the last review... and it's still good! Went up north on a camping trip and made a point of stopping in to try their beers. Very glad I did! Among the ones I tried, their regular IPA is very good. Poured from the tap a pale, light golden yellow with a two finger head. Lots of citrusy smell, not much pine. Some grapefruit and sour orange flavors bring just the right bitterness and a smooth feel, not overly carbonated. Overall a wonderful beer. If you're in the Bemidji area, this beer is worth the stop to have a pint... or two! I bought a growler of this on the way back home.
