French Farmhouse With White Peach

a simple french farmhouse as a base beer, but jazzed up with white peach, which really makes this interesting and different and good. i love that its obviously white peach and not yellow peach, thats hard to do, so i know the fruit is natural in here. this place backs right up to some gorgeous old orchards too, i wonder if the peaches came from right here. its blonde beer with a light haze to it and an average white head from the tap, good carbonation evident, and a really cool nose that has the honest peach working extremely well with the saison yeast, which is white winey and a little stone fruity itself, way more compelling with the fruit than it would be on its own. the peach is awesome in the flavor too, dense flesh and fuzzy lightly tart skin there through the whole drink, i think a little behind the yeast esters, especially when it warms up, but balanced by dry earthy grain and fermented to good and dry, so this is crisp and lively and drinkable, even though its got some complexity to it. this would be really good with a brett pitch, a wine barrel treatment, or even some herbal element to round it out a little, but i love the white peach character in here, and thought overall the beer was very good. ahead of others i have had here in the past. more summer than fall, but yummy.
