I had this beer on-tap in a snifter at WABL Belgianfest 2015.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a moderate-to-light haze and a thin layer of white foam atop. Pretty attractive!
Smell: surprisingly light; it's nicely malty with a very light fruitiness, and has a classic tripel character. Well-put-together, if a bit on the subtle side.
Taste: quite sweet right off the bat with a little more fruitiness than the aroma. There's kind of an alcohol heat about it that's not terribly well-integrated, which is a bit much for me. Nicely flavored, but too much booze.
Mouthfeel: big body with a big carbonation and a very good creaminess. Great.
Overall: the big alcohol heat is a little much for me, and it makes this beer seem rough around the edges. The basic flavors are not bad at all, though.
