This is a mild stout, as stouts go. I'm no expert on styles, but it makes sense that this is a milk stout. The predominant aromas and flavors are vanilla and cocoa, along with the slightly boozy qualities of the barrel aging. It's a BA beer in which the barrel aging doesn't smack you in the face. It's a nicely crafted beer.
