The brewer calls this the "West Coast Edition," so maybe it's not so gunkified. It's just slightly hazed, so that's a good sign. It is quite acidic, though, with a light and sharp mouthfeel. Aroma of peach. Some apricot among the hoppy flavors. It's a little woody with citrus peel and a bit of malty sweetness. Lovely pile of fine-grained foam in the tall Stout glass.
In spite of the astringent finish, this is really quite interesting and adds a different dimension to the "New England" frenzy. This is the first Triple Horn beer I've seen in a long time, so I had to try it. From the 500 ml bottle purchased at Elizabeth Station.
