A cloudy, reddish color. Great, apricot hop aroma (having it fresh at the brewery, and that always helps). Nice bitter taste--not too sweet like a lot of dipas. Definitely an enjoyable beer.

Had this on tap at Function. Obviously Steve the owner/brewer named this after his wife so I figured he wouldn't do that if it wasn't something special. Plus he claimed it came it at 223 IBUs.
When the beer was placed on the table it looked great and the aroma immediately hit me. i'm not sure I've ever had an aroma hit me like that from a beer that was easily over 2 feet away from my nose. From an aroma standpoint it was about as good as it gets.
Lots of beers claim a high IBU but this is by far the bitterest IPA I have ever had. Palette Wrecker, Hopsickle, and Hop Stoopid have nothing on this. It was almost as bitter as eating raw hops.
I can't believe I'm saying this but it was too bitter. If this would have clocked in around 100 - 120 IBUs it may very well have been in my Top 5 - 10 all time.
