On-tap at Beachwood I,

A: Pours a medium orange with a soft creamy white head, good amount of sticky lace.

S: Apricot and pear, lots of white spice, coriander, like notes. Good mix.

T: Sweet yellow apple, Bosc pear flavours. Lots of estery flavours especially for an American-made Belgian-style brew. White pepper, some light hop character.

M: Medium-bodied, a tad cloying, soft carbonation.

O: My first from this new LA brewery, a good effort in the style, but not overly impressive.

On tap for the 4th Annual LA Beer Week Beer Festival at Union Station in Los Angeles, CA.

Pours a murky golden orange with a foamy bone colored head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, yeast, and spices. Taste is much the same with a slightly fruity flavor on the finish. There is a mild spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is pretty tasty and drinkable.
