Saison secondaried on cherries from Lavender Hill Cherry Orchard, brewed in December 2013 and tried by me some time in January at the Baxter Inn.

Pours a bright red colour; light bead. Head is white, small bubbles and decent crown retaining. Interesting.

Smells decently saisony. Bit of rubber; organic. Slight fruity tang. Some sherbet. Bit cold, so a bit subdued. Decent notes though.

Taste is pleasantly saisony. Am surprised; the cherry takes a back seat, just lends a plump richness at the back. Mostly rubbery, bitter funk, quite nice and organic. Quite a pleasant vinous character, balancing well with the tangy, funky notes. Good.

Thin but with a roundness to it. Decent mouth presence.

Nice job; cherry adds a nice edge without dominating.
