This was a birthday present in August 2024, drunk in December of that year.

L: Murky light golden yellow in the glass with bits and pieces hanging suspended in the liquid. There's a smattering of white head and some lacing left down the glass. There are a few large bubbles that rush up the glass.

S: The aroma is nectarine and some citrus-peel dankness.

T: The taste has nectarine and bitter peel, with the latter leading to a more bracing bitterness than expected. It's not as easy drinking as I'd expect for an XPA; the nectarine profile is enjoyable and keeps me going back for more, but it does clash somewhat with the bitter peel note, making me wonder whether I'm actually enjoying the beer. The finish is long and fruity.

M: The mouthfeel is smooth and full, with light carbonation and very little kick on the swallow.

O: This is an interesting beer, but the sweet nectarine and bitter peel clash didn't quite work for me.

Cheers!
