Treated as an Irish dry stout, this was poured into a mug. The appearance was a dark brown close to black color. Slim riding dark milky chocolate looking head. Slow dissipation. Sly lacing, spider webs nicely. The aroma starts dry coffee edgy bitterness. Tries to lead on into some cocoa bitter to crisp roastiness. And it somewhat does. The flavor leans nicely on into a nicely balanced roasty/sweet/bitter combo proportioned adequately all around. Nice combined aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the palate, with a decent sessionability about it. Carbonation feels good and low.. Overall, well, it’s interesting and I think I would have again, preferably with its respected food.
