Screw-cap growler filled at the brewery.
First stein pours with a 1/2" off-white head, over the clear coppery gold brew. Head is gradually recedes down to a solid surface skim, with leggy slow-falling lace. Aroma is lightly of chocolate and vanilla.
Taste is sweet pale malts upfront, balanced through the middle, and noticeable chocolate and vanilla flavors come on through the close. Mouthfeel is smooth, and drinkability is easy. Hard to grasp the chocolate and vanilla flavors yet be so light in hue and not a porter or stout. Nice magic trick.
