Poured into an English pint glass, the appearance was a semi-dark brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head. Super slow dissipation and left some light lace. The aroma had a decent blend of roasted malts, some grassy hops and a soft sweet honey backbone to it. The flavor leans towards the sweet side of the malts and honey ever so slightly bringing in the roast underneath. Nicely blended aftertaste between roast and sweet. Quick malty finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation. ABV felt appropriate. All around great feel between "grinding" roast and "smooth" maltiness. Overall, nicely done English styled porter with Steve Parkes’ creativity of the putting some honey in it.

Smoky and malty, strongly bitter finish that seems almost inappropriate. Great creamy foamy head.

Sample at the brewpub.

A-Pours a brown that isn't very dark. Almost zero head.

S-A Honey Brown Porter; I can definitely smell the honey malt. Sweet brown malt as well. Not exactly roasty, it's not deep enough to be intensely roasty. Is more honey, light chocolate and cookie.

T-The honey isn't hidden and that was the most important part for me. It's a light bodied Honey Porter, it needs the honey to be distinguishable. Aside from that is a light bitterness and more brown malt.

M-Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. No booze or lingering flavor.

O-A light bodied, tasty Porter that deliver with some pleasant honey nuances. I enjoy this one and probably would have enjoyed a full pint.
