I had a couple of 12oz pours ($6.00) during a recent Drop In visit (24SEP20) with Alewife.
It poured jet black, opaque like oil. Had a thin rim-job head of beige foam, with light lacing. Aroma had lots of coffee, with rich, dark choco and some charred aspects. Body was medium-plus, with a very smooth feel going down.
Tasted of rich malts and coffee, with some caramel and dark choco. Smooth and rich, with no bitterness to speak of. Had some espresso and dark fruit, like dates and raisins, with earthy hops in the finish. Very solid stuff; not fake news! Cheers!!

pours out a dark brown-black color, very nice looking. on aroma and palate is an immensely rich coffee roast, invoking a heady cup of joe, earthy and fruity acidity in there, plenty of smooth creamy quality throughout, some burnt malts, bittersweet chocolate. very sharp and roasty. well executed!!

DATE: March 3, 2019... OCCASION: in a family room rife with primer fumes, we enjoy the thoughts of a delayed opening a(nother) up-north gift from Jeff... GLASSWARE: Duvel snifter... instantly notice a motor oil's viscosity as the jet-black body builds a thin yet stubborn brown head of forth and foam... immediate dark roasted/almost burnt coffee bean, vanilla sugars, chocolate nibs, latent vegetable, light peat, plum, and topsoil--a thick, slightly astringent, totally appropriate approximation of our current presidents acerbic presence... its first sip is warming, chewy, balanced in its weight, smooth and penetrating... slightly oily, but overall a powerful mouthfeel that doesn't approach its Trump-sized ABV... the coffee bean reigns in its flavor profile--thick, roasted and burnt, with wood, peat and rubber... the latter weakens the experience slightly, though bread malts, licorice, toffee, and plum round this into a beer worth saving for a long, slow night...

16 oz. can.
Moderate pour yields a one inch tan head over a near black body with no lacing and head is down to a ring in a few minutes. Nose of slight dark fruit, slight cocoa, slight dark and roasted malt, and a bit of coffee. Taste mirrors nose pretty closely with a finish of dark malt, malted milk, and coffee. Nice feel and overall; what can I say? Covfefe!!! Cheers to Drop-In Brewing Company for the beer (and the name!)

Found this in a local convenient store in Essex Junction, VT. Comes in 16oz cans, in a 4-pack. Pricey...$21.32.
Pours espresso-black, little to no head. Smells of coffee, black-strap molasses, super dark chocolate, and cherry cordials. And boozy.
Taste is black coffee, cocoa, malt balls, and booze.
Mouth-feel is thin, not cloying, and lightly carbonated, which makes this RIS tolerable for another sip.
You don't feel overwhelmed, aside from the higher ABV. Was this beer worth over $21.00 for four 16oz. cans? I hate to admit it, but yes. And you get to see artwork of Trump and Putin kissing on the can. Cheers!
