Draft at Drop-In. Poured a slightly cloudy, golden yellow color with a small, fizzy, white head. It left minimal lacing. It smelled of cracked wheat and caramel. Sweet wheat taste with a touch of citrus.

Can to weizen glass.
The appearance was a soft golden clear color with a sustaining three finger white foamy head. Seems to dissipate at a fair pace. Sticky foamy lace intricately applied to my glass. Carbonation bubbles swiftly arise.
The aroma seemed quite different than normal kristalweizens as the normal "banana/bubblegum/clove" esters seemed more of an afterthought than being at the forefront. Pears and red delicious apples took the lead as some cracker-sweet malts cut the sweetness with some cake crumbs.
The flavor moderately leaned towards the sweet end. Subtle grassiness undecuts some wheaty sweetness with some grains. Mellow aftertaste of grains, grassiness and pears.
The mouthfeel was light bodied with a pure enjoyable sessionability as I expected. Good carbonation. Somewhat of a grassy/grainy texture just before the finish which was somewhat smooth.
Overall, I tried to review this as a kristalweizen but somehow in my opinion, I didn't think this turned out to be that. On top of it, Drop In didn't even use a German weizen yeast, they used some sort of English yeast strain which didn't produce the necessary aromas and flavors for the style. Only thing I can say good about this is that it is creative and unique in their respect but this isn't an expected comparison to Weihenstephaner's, just saying.

Very watery. Light on flavour.
It's a filtered wheat beer that just ends up tasting like an American light beer.

Snagged some of this Drop In - River Song at The Reservoir in Waterbury on-tap.
Look - Pours straw yellow with a foamy head that dissipates quickly and leaves a good amount of sticky lacing.
Smell - Aroma was so faint here I could barely pull anything out of it, a faint tartness.
Taste - Tart, bitter aftertaste, just OK, thin and on the watery side.
Mouthfeel - Sits bitter, drinkable but of course it is quite thin and watery, again. Not boozy at all. Light body.
Overall - It is just OK, I am wondering if they are going to do more with this or if this is it, if so I would not get this one again, nothing stood out.
