Shares the building with a well stocked Asian grocery store. Limited parking lot out front but much more available parking at a graveled lower back lot, plus surrounding paved lots. Has two outdoor patios, one out front with picnic tables, and one smaller one near the back door. High, black painted ceiling, concrete floor, and gray stucco and brown wood walls. Art pieces, stringed hanging lights, lattice works for vines, and ceiling fans. Short bar with stools, separate stand up bars, picnic tables, and a lounge area with a couch and large wood chairs. One large TV for sports and one smaller screen for music videos. Several physical games for entertainment. Upper shelves hold a wide variety of glass growlers. About fifteen taps for beer, with many other taps for seltzers, hard sodas, teas, and cocktails. Canned beer to go. Laid-back and friendly staff. Has a real neighborhood hangout vibe.

Huge 5 foot connect 4 game, hammerschlagen and tons of tasty beers! Heggie's Pizza available or order in...not as many lighter beers but a decent selection for those who don't like hoppy.

First brewery in town since Prohibition. Constantly improving but so far usually a couple of disappointing beers, a couple of surprisingly good beers, and a host of middling beers. Seems to get better every couple months though looking forward to a long relationship with this brewery. Awesome German bar games.

As the previous reviewer mentioned they have improved dramatically since first opening. My first two experiences with the IPA were not good but this last time was much better. Stout was pretty good too.
Great service and Donovan is a nice guy, really hoping they continue to improve and it all works out for them.
I would say that $5/pint is a bit much at this point when you can go to a number of other places in Rochester and have an excellent beer for $5-6.

Quite large layout for a taproom. Smallish bar, but other seating. Lots of concrete and stainless, but feels like you are in a brewery. Seven different beers on tap with a nice variety from light to hoppy to dark. The Controlled Burn pepper beer was the best of the day, but their DIPA- Eye Opener was a big hoppy bitter beer that was well done. Growlers and two different 750's to go. Giant Jenga and Hammerschlagen games to play. Overall, decent beers, but the mouthfeel on a couple were a bit thin. One of the brewers explained that with their stout, they did this on purpose for the summer to make it lighter feeling. For the winter, they will beef it up a bit. Okay, but I would guess you would want some consistency. Nice guys. They still need to improve, but from what a friend of mine has said is that they have improved quite a bit since first opening. Good place to check out and I look forward to seeing how things improve over time.
