Nice place. Smaller older building. High ceilings, which tend to be a little noisy. Nice bar on the left, glassed in area of the brewhouse on the right. A small amount of tables. They had 6 of their brews on tap, and I think 6 guest taps. Food is basically pizza, but interesting ones. I had a beef, cheddar and horseradish pizza. It was excellent. Had a couple of the beers and they were solid. A good little place.

Great Atmosphere, good service and the pizza is phenomenal. I liked the Barn Bluff Brown out of all the beers.

Comfortable atmosphere with lots of old signage from the original (looks like ) 3 brewery's in the Red Wing area, plus some turn of the century (1900) advertisements. Fermentation tanks behind glass. I went at about 3:30 on a Friday and it was mostly full.
A broad list of beers brewed plus another 8 taps (7 from other MN smaller breweries and 1 BMC non-alc. beer). And a Red Wing root beer as well.
The pizza they make is popular but I did not partake. I believe it's a pretty small menu.
Service was friendly but a little slow and average in knowledge.
I'd go again when in the area.

Warning: my rating is biased. I was so happy to visit my home town and discover that it now has a brewery! The pizza was good and the beer was better than I expected. I also really loved that they unearthed some historical brew recipes.

The Red Wing Brewery is a recent and fantastic addition to Red Wing. This brewpub is small with a quiet and very family friendly atmosphere. The beers that they make are good to great and when combined with the four to six guest taps, create a good beer selection. They also carry wines from the local wineries.
Their food menu is small, but this doesn't matter because the pizza is unbelievable. If you are in Red Wing, I can't suggest a better place to stop for a pizza and a beer.

The Red Wing Brewery is still fairly new to the area, but has already garnered a strong customer base in a town that terribly needed a quality brewpub.
Red Wing Brewery has a core selection of house brews available, as well as several guest taps, and local wine offerings. The house brews are enjoyable, but safe. You won't find a palate wrecking DIPA on tap right now, but the brews the Brewery create are historically relevant to the area, and are all quality offerings.
The Brewery is fairly small, but greets you with a warm, comfortable atmosphere that is built around local history. The Brewery lacks televisions plastered on every wall - which is something I particularly like. It fosters a great social environment. It can get a bit loud, and cramped, at times, due to the space limitations.
Service was initially very slow, but they have worked through their initial growing pains and service is now prompt, and always extremely friendly.
Getting to the most positive thing about the Red Wing Brewery - their pizza. It's hands down the best in town, no question. Locally sourced and hand made, these pizzas are absolutely delicious. Combine the pizza with quality beer, and a great atmosphere, and you have a real winner.
