On nitro, served in a pint glass. Pours black with a small tan head of tiny bubbles. Slightly roasty aroma and a touch of chocolate. Taste is pretty mellow, was definitely expecting more for 6%, maybe the nitro is muting it a bit. It's a little thin with some roasted malts and a touch of coffee. Goes down smooth and is easy to drink, just not the most flavorful black ale. One of the better ones from SC, though.

On Nitro at The Engine Room. Pours a pitch black color with an inch plus of frothy khaki head. The aroma is roasted malts, charcoal and earth. The taste is more charcoal, roasted malts and chocolate. Very little hop presence. Maybe some floral notes. Almost more like a porter. Creamy mouthfeel. Overall, decent beer but nothing special.
