Poured from a 12oz can dated to a Nonic.
Copper or deep amber body below a medium small bubble head that fades in about 3 minutes to a single-bubble layer. Some spotty lacing.
Aroma is a very faint cinnamon and sugar toast.
Taste really does mimic apple crisp as suggested on the can. I can understand the cinnamon and the nutmeg, but I'm not sure how there fooling me into thinking apple. Finish is a little more bitter than a real-life crisp though. Perhaps they were trying to simulate a burnt crust (JK).
There is a mouth coating to this (probably the oatmeal), however it would be better with a little less carbonation.
Overall, better than I thought it would be. Almost a treat for a one time drink.

I had never tried an ale of this style before. I assumed it was supposed to be an alternate take on a pumpkin ale, but found out that is not the case. Based on the taste, it seems like it is trying to emulate a fall apple cider. But i felt it failed at being good at that. Would need more "apple cider" flavor in its recipe. While not a lite beer, it seemed to have a watery taste. Didn't like it.

A: crystal clear; amber in color; 1 finger light tan head that receded to a wispy cap; nice lacing;
S: cinnamon and nutmeg, with apple in the background;
T: follows the nose; could almost be a pumpkin beer; no bitterness;
M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;
O: if you like pumpkin beers, but don't want to admit that fact, try this; Crum needs more apple character to live up to its description;

12 oz. bottle
Pours amber red with a frothy light khaki colored foam head. Smells like sweet cinnamon, nutmeg, apple, oats, amber caramel malt, brown sugar, toffee, toasty bready malt, with mild floral earthy herbal grassy pine. Tastes like cinnamon, nutmeg, apple, oatmeal, amber caramel malt, toffee, brown sugar, vanilla, toasty bready malts, with floral earthy herbal grassy pine. Feels medium-light bodied, creamy with moderate carbonation. Overall a real nice apple cinnamon oatmeal amber ale.

Fizzy thin cinnamon soda with some homebrew malt character. Ruby and totally clear in appearance. Thin head that disappears almost immediately. Aroma and flavor are cinnamon and not much else. All the lack of subtlety or complexity of pumpkin spice but with a slightly different flavor profile! Avoid.
