Golden, dry and highly aromatic, the Brut IPA is a West Coast innovation that just might be the most drinkable IPA style yet. The low bitterness along with lush tropical hop character and a bright effervescent finish, all combine to make it the ultimate Aggressively Laid Back IPA.

On tap at Stony Creek at Foxwoods. Pours a clear golden color with a thin layer of head. Lots of lacing. The aroma is lots of tropical fruit and some light floral notes. The taste is orange peel, grapefruit, tangerine and a hint of white grapes. Dry and slightly bready. Light body with lots of carbonation. Moderate alcohol presence.

A: crystal clear; pale gold in color; 1 finger white head that receded to a thin collar; no lacing;
S: orange, grapefruit, and a little pineapple;
T: follows the nose from start to finish; mild bitterness at the end;
M: light to medium bodied; light to moderate carbonation; very dry finish;
O: my first brut IPA; nice and dry; came from a crowler, which may have affected the carbonation;
