S: tropical fruit and grapefruit come out in the aroma along with traces of grass and resin. Moderate bread crumb and bread crust aromas provide support.
L: hazy amber with copper highlights under a 1" cream colored foam cap with moderate retention. It produces fine lace. Clean hop character on the palate featuring a medium to medium high grapefruit rind bitterness and tropical fruit, berry and grass to vegetable flavors. Bread crumb and biscuit British malts soften the hop bitterness and support the hop flavors. A little grainy spice lurks in the background. the bitterness is big but not harsh.
F Creamy, medium body and a medium fine soft carbonation.
O: This beer strikes me as a hybrid. It has English ingredients but it is brewed with the intensity of an American IPA. You still get the English malt character but it supports a more assertive American handling of the hops.

16oz can. Poured out a clear, golden-orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It smelled of earthy, citrusy notes with a biscuity malt profile. It tasted of caramel malt with an earthy hop bite.

Clear, amber hue, slim white head.
Aroma: bright and lovely citrus hop notes pop out of the nose, joined by tropical tones, too. Tangerine and pineapple, grapefruit and mango. Love it.
In the mouth: Fresh hop bitterness blasts the palate. Substantial malt flavors hold down the fort. Medium bodied, long bitter, hoppy finish. Caramel and toffee in the malt, with hop flavors keep hold on top. I'm enjoying this. Distinctly downable, fully flavored, I'd have one again and again.

Malt backing is noticeable immediately, with caramel, biscuit and toffee. Then the Jester hops come in, with herbal, tropical and tangerine notes. Finish is dry and bitter, with lingering earthy and pine notes. Aroma isn't quite as complex, with mostly tangerine, caramel and herbal notes. The Jester hops remind me of some of the newer Australian and New Zealand hops.
Overall, a very good English IPA.
