Brown liquid almost no head. Aroma was deftly bourbon, a little time goes along way with a brown ale base.
This was immediately enjoyable, a very rich beer that wasn't thick or huge, kinda neat. Darker malts that aren't overly roasty in the mouthfeel, the barrel really smoothed this out.

Poured into a small tulip. Barely any head on it, a thinner brown appearance, ruby edged hues throughout when held up to the light (or fireplace). This is a brown ale aged in a bourbon barrel for 3 months. Its about the least amount of malt presence I've ever had with something in a bourbon barrel. Super thin head, so thin I couldn't tell the exact color of it. Aroma was a very mild bourbon presence, you still get a tame nutty undercurrent to the aroma, subtle, yet respectable.
Taste, a good sipper, even though it isn't all that strong, its still fun to sip on it just for the cruising low profile bourbon taste. Turns what is usually a deservedly boring style label, a very short 3 months of exposure in the barrel really does well here. A smidge of chocolate and brown malt, next to nothing in terms of hop bitterness. The wood is just a touch. Overall, it makes for one of the best drinking brown ales bar none. I wasn't a big fan of the price ($8) for a small pour, but it was good drinking.
