Firkin at cask and vine
Big thick rich fluffy 2 finger head fades slowly with tons of soapy lacing, murky peach apricot milky color. 4
Nose is interesting, plenty of floral hops, quite herbal earthy, little grassy spicy almost Americanized noble hop, faint citrus pith, touch fruity note and pine, mostly floral and earthy herbal, super fresh hop pellet aroma. 4
Taste smooth with lots of hops, big earthy spicy super fresh hops, obviously fresh in the cask taste. Grassy and floral hops really take off, with the nice earthy slightly herbal note, big bitterness that turns spicy. Faint grapefruit and little pith, mild citrus rind, etc. Light fluffy malt base. Finish brings a lot more spicy herbal bitterness, earthy and floral a bit, drier but little sticky. Big ruby red grapefruit. 4.25
Mouth is med bod, quite carbonated for a cask. 4.25
Overall quite nice, the fresh cask hops are very interesting, quite unique and enjoyable despite the big bitter spicy herbal hops.4
