Currently just one other review, from 6 years ago! I havemn't read that or the can yet.
L- Closely resembles coke, brown clear and with a small and very short-lived foam presence - hmmm.
S- It has a sweet/rich edge to it. Perhaps with a slightly perfumey edge like Marshmallows?
T- Some lactose edge, 'marshmallowy' again, then into more recognisable beery notes, here the deeper roast of porter, then hoppy-dry into the finish.
F- It feels thin and a bit under-ABV%'d, at least in part relative to it's more pungent flavour.
O- I can finish it but it's not one I'd buy again. The Taste is too off-piste and contemporary, aka 'too clever by half' for me. The ABV% is also light for the pungency so it ends up feeling thin.
440ml hipster plastic label wrapped can. BBE: 28/07/2021
£3.30 bought from TremblingMadness/York for home delivery as part of a DIY mixed case.
ps. I now see it contains vanilla - that'll pretty much explain the 'marshmallowy' note I was getting.

A 330ml bottle with a BB of Dec 2015. Purchased recently from Trembling Madness in York. Described as a robust vanilla porter. It doesn't explicitly say so, but I presume this is Bad Kitty with some Christmas spices thrown in.
A: Poured into a cervoise. A dark reddish-brown hue that appears virtually black in the glass. Yields a decent head of creamy beige foam that lasts for a few minutes before dissipating.
S: Aroma of dark malt with hints of vanilla, chocolate, mild molasses, spice, subtle dried fruit, vague roasted grain, faint coffee and yeast. Overtones of mint, which is a bit odd. Not too shabby.
T: Tastes of dark malt with a vanilla character and a lingering finish. Notes of chocolate, vanilla, roasted grain, molasses, dried fruit, spice, mild coffee, earthy yeast and stewed leaves. Slightly sweet, followed by a restrained, malty bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth and tingly, with spritzy carbonation and decent body. Somewhat astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of sweet dark malt, vanilla, subtle spice and earthy yeast.
O: Pretty good. Uninspiring looks, however the aroma and flavour are rich and rounded. Plenty of vanilla, dark malt and spice on offer. Body is OK. This is perhaps just a shade too sweet for the style, but it goes down alright. Worth trying if you stumble across it.
